What’s new in Paperwork, newest first.

  1. Clear annotations

    • NewAnnotate has a Clear button in the toolbar. Clear the current page or every page at once, and undo it if you change your mind.

  2. Easier watermark controls

    • ImprovedChoose S, M, L or XL text, preset angles and opacity, and color swatches. Select Custom for precise values or your own color. Controls are easier to tap on mobile and more compact on desktop.
    • NewChoose Sans, Serif, Mono or Handwriting for text watermarks. Serif and Handwriting support Thai as well as Latin text; other scripts use a supported fallback font.

  3. Installed app updates

    • ImprovedPaperwork checks for new versions when you reopen the app or reconnect, and shows an Update now button. Download your work before updating, or choose Later to keep working.

  4. Privacy and security

    • NewA privacy page explains what Paperwork keeps on your device, with a button to clear it.
    • NewRemove hidden information, such as properties, metadata, bookmarks and attachments, in Unlock and protect.
    • ImprovedRedaction also removes hidden information that can repeat the redacted text.
    • ImprovedAutosaved annotations are deleted after 7 days.
    • ImprovedA stricter security policy stops the app from sending your data to other sites.

  5. Images to PDF

    • NewTurn photos and scans into a PDF, one page per image, on A4, Letter or pages the size of each image.

  6. More ways to work with PDFs

    • NewUse Paperwork in Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese and Spanish, alongside English and Thai.
    • NewExport PDF pages as PNG or JPG images, with a choice of resolution and page range.
    • NewOpen PDFs from your device or share them to the installed app in supported browsers, then choose a tool.
    • NewSend a finished PDF straight to another tool with Continue in….
    • ImprovedSaved signatures, initials and stamps stay on your device and are available in both Sign and Annotate.
    • ImprovedFind and redact every match of text, a pattern or a common number format.
    • ImprovedCompression runs in the background, with custom image size and JPEG quality settings.
    • ImprovedInsert blank pages or another PDF, and duplicate pages in Organize.
    • ImprovedMerged PDFs keep their bookmarks and metadata.
    • NewFollow new features and improvements on the public changelog page.

  7. Works offline

    • NewInstall Paperwork on your phone or computer and keep using the tools without a connection.
    • NewA pricing page, if you’re curious. It’s a short read.
    • ImprovedLinks to Paperwork now show a proper preview when you share them.
    • ImprovedPages appear instantly and can be read by search engines, even before the app finishes loading.

  8. Redact, protect and unlock

    • NewRedact sensitive text from a PDF so it’s gone for good, not just covered up.
